AN ENGINEERING group is supporting autism charity Daisy Chain with fundraising activities this year.

And employees at Wynyard-based Nortech will donate time to helping the charity as well as Nortech’s annual charity golf day and shoot raising funds for Daisy Chain.

Other events include an afternoon tea event at Rockliffe Hall on May 10.

Daisy Chain was set up by Lesley Hanson whose son Jacob was diagnosed with autism at an early age.

Today the charity helps more than 1,800 families in the Tees Valley, supports 611 children each week and provides about 293 hours of respite every week for families.

Nortech’s Elaine Bunn said: “Daisy Chain is a great charity that has been delivering fantastic services to local families for almost 15 years, so I’m thrilled that Nortech will continue to contribute to this wonderful cause.”
