A 64-YEAR-OLD man was stopped by two people who tried to steal his watch, police say.
Cleveland Police say an incident occurred at 9.45pm on Thursday, May 4 on Linthorpe Road, near to the junction of Southfield Road and Princes Road.
A 28-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and were released with no bail conditions pending further enquiries.
It is believed at the time of the incident, three men in a dark coloured car stopped to help the victim and officers would like the men to come forward as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
