The Arena was too big from the start.

Planning restrictions on the kind of events which could be held there made the Arena a white elephant for far too long and a millstone round the neck of the original football club.

The grass doesn't grow properly on the pitch because enough sun light doesn't reach it. George Reynolds was obviously no kind of gardener.

These problems are now the rugby clubs problems. I wish them well with all their future endeavours.

But if as a venue this became available
and this would facilitate the promotion of the club this season
and DFC can meet their commitments to the owners of Blackwell Meadows as well
then is it time for any old port in a storm?
