THE Ninja Knitters have done a commendable job decorating Bedale with their artistic work (D&S Times, Apr 14). It is lovely to see.
Councillor John Noone is correct in stating Bedale is an attractive historic market town.
But I disagree that the town is ready for the new tourist season.
The public lavatories are a disgrace.
On Easter Saturday, the ladies’ loos were all blocked and the floor standing in water (well, I think it was water). Not a welcoming sight for visitors.
