A MAN has been taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries while working under a car.
The Hartlepool pensioner was treated by medics from the Great North Air Ambulance Service before being taken to James Cook University Hospital at 10.40am on Tuesday.
The air ambulance landed in the grounds of West View Primary School.
The patient, a man in his 70s, was put into an induced coma at the scene before he was taken to hospital by road, accompanied by the GNAAS crew.
