POLICE are appealing for information after a 28-year-old man had part of his ear bitten off in Hartlepool earlier this month.

The victim was approached by a man who assaulted him on York Road, near to the car park to the rear of the town’s Yorkshire Bank.

The incident happened between midnight and 4am on Friday, March 10.

As a result of the attack, the victim received treatment at James Cook University Hospital.
