TWO men have been arrested after police pursued a stolen vehicle which crashed.

The Land Rover was followed out of Darlington in the early hours of Sunday morning and overturned near the village of Walworth on the outskirts of the town, before rolling over and coming to a halt.

A police helicopter, based out of Newcastle Airport, was involved in the operation to track the vehicle, which is thought to have been stolen and fitted with false number plates.

The two men arrested are now in custody and will be questioned by police.
