THE Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, is visiting North Yorkshire schools and meeting with residents this weekend.
The Archbishop will take in Nunthorpe Academy and Stokesley School, then onto Conyers School in the afternoon where he will meet with pupils and take part in question and answer sessions.
At 7.30pm on Friday the Archbishop will be at the Mint Hobo Coffee House Yarm, to share his story of faith.
He said: “I am looking forward to meeting people in Stokesley deanery this coming weekend.
"It’s Red Nose Day on Friday which brings fun and laughter into people’s lives and it transforms others too.
"Throughout the weekend I want to tell people of the joy and fulfilment that can be with each one of us every day when we know Jesus Christ as our personal friend and Saviour and what a difference that this can make.”
As part of the mission, the Bishop of Whitby, the Rt Revd Paul Ferguson will visit Ingleby Manor and Barleyfields Schools in Ingleby Barwick on Friday morning, while The Archdeacon of Cleveland, the Venerable Sam Rushton will also visit schools in his area.
