HORSERIDERS of all ages are being invited to join a ride in a County Durham forest to raise funds for an equine charity next month.

Organised by the Hamsterley Riding Association, the community fundraising ride will take place at Hamsterley Forest, near Bishop Auckland, on Saturday, April 22.

Riders are invited to bring along their horses and ponies for the 13-mile hack in aid of the charity Brooke – Action for Working Horses and Donkeys.

A shorter route of 6km is also available for younger guests as well as Easter-themed fancy dress and prizes for the best costumes.

Guests are invited to register from 10am for an 11am start at the Oak Tree Car Park in Hamsterley Forest. For more information search for Hamsterley Riding Association on Facebook.
