POLICE are investigating after a motorcyclist was hurt during an accident.
It happened shortly after 5.30pm on Tuesday, on the A192, near Cramlington.
A 31-year-old man riding a Kawasaki motorbike was travelling east just past East Hartford in lane one and was approaching the Three Shoes Roundabout.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: βHe saw a stationary vehicle in the same lane. He began to brake and change lane when, for reasons yet to be established, he left the carriageway at the offside and was thrown from the bike suffering serious injuries to both arms.β
His condition is described as serious but not life-threatening.
