EMPLOYERS have been giving tips to apprentices to help them get the most out of their positions.
The event at New College Durham was part of Apprenticeship Week and involved more than 400 students working with nine local employers.
Sharon Bennett, director of apprenticeships, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many employers and students to our apprenticeship event and promote the benefits of studying for an apprenticeship.”
Staff from the college also visited schools with a roadshow aimed at giving pupils an idea of what they could get out of an apprenticeship.
The college’s next open day is being held on Tuesday, April 4, when people can find out more about the apprenticeships on offer.
