TWO men have appeared in court in connection with an incident in which a grandad died in a County Durham nightclub.
Alan King, 47, of no fixed abode, and Jordan King, 24, of Earls Green, East Rainton, appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, charged with affray.
The incident is connected to the death of 54-year-old Stewart Anderson, from Hetton-le-Hole.
The father-of-two died after an incident at the Loveshack nightclub in Durham in July.
Police confirmed in January that no further action would be taken against seven members of the club’s door staff who were also arrested in connection with the incident.
Officers were called to the Walkergate complex in Durham at 1am on Sunday, July 24, after reports of a disturbance inside the club.
