PEOPLE are invited to sample some ethically sourced food and drink to raise awareness of the campaign.

Stockton Fairtrade Borough Partnership will be in the town centre on Wednesday, March 1 between 12.30pm and 1.30pm offering a variety of chocolate, nuts and other refreshments as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Maureen Rigg, chairwoman of the partnership, said: “Changing to Fairtrade tea, coffee, chocolate, nuts and biscuits for your break means farmers in poorer countries can have clean drinking water, schools for their children and food on their plates.”
