A DOMESTIC abuse charity has been named as one of the best places to work in the region, according The Sunday Times.

Teesside based Harbour Support Services has also been awarded a Michelin-style, one star accreditation from Best Companies, which recognises outstanding levels of employee engagement,

The accolades are part of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies, an annual ranking and survey of the cream of Britain’s employers.

The charity has been ranked in 39th place in the Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For in 2017 and is the top ranking North East based organisation on the list.

Lesley Gibson, chief executive of Harbour said: “These accolades are recognition for the incredibly talented and committed staff team here at Harbour. Our staff are our greatest asset and we work hard to attract and recruit the best and keep investing to develop their skills. We do all of this so we can provide the best possible support for our clients.”

Harbour’s position on the list recognises the hard work, passion and commitment shown by staff across the organisation which supports thousands of adults and children affected by domestic abuse.
