FREE specialist information and support about cancer is coming to the North-East.

Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service will be touring the region with cancer information specialists on hand to answer questions.

The team encourages anyone with worries or concerns relating to cancer to stop by - whether they are living with or beyond cancer, or are a carer or loved one of someone who is.

Kirsty Wilkinson, of Macmillan, said: “The impact a cancer diagnosis can have on an individual and their family goes beyond medical treatment.

“Right now, the project is seeking views from people affected by cancer about the help they need, and where and when they need it.”

The mobile service, joined by Macmillan Joining the Dots County Durham team, which aims to make it easier for patients to seek support, will be in Durham Market Place on Tuesday from 10am to 4pm, at Captain Cook Square, Middlesbrough, on Wednesday from 10am to 4pm, at West Row, Darlington on Thursday from 10am to 4pm and at Tesco Extra, Newton Aycliffe, on Friday from 9am to 3pm.
