FIRE crews tackled a barn fire in the Hamsteels area, near Lanchester, in County Durham on Tuesday morning.
Two crews from Durham were called to the scene of the fire at 3am where it is estimated that 300 tonnes of baled hay was alight inside a Dutch barn.
Firefighters left the scene at 8.35am after bringing the fire under control.
It is not being treated as suspicious.
