THIRSK Community First Responders are holding an awareness evening on Thursday to enable people to learn more about fundraising for defibrillators.
The Responders want to raise enough money to install and maintain up to four community public access defibrillators (CPADs) around the Thirsk area.
At the open event, members will be available to talk more about the role they play within the community and about the CPAD project.
There will also be a chance for participants to see what a defibrillator looks like and how it works, as well as an opportunity to have a go at using a training unit on a mannequin.
The event takes place at Thirsk Fire Station from 5.45pm to 7.30pm.
