A ‘MAGICAL maritime adventure’ awaits youngsters visiting Hartlepool this month.

Theatre Hullabaloo will stage its latest production, Spirits of the Sea, at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre.

Suitable for children aged six to ten, the play was commissioned to encourage teaching and learning in mental health and emotional well-being.

Set inside a fisherman’s hut, it combines live music and puppetry to tell the story of a young girl who talks to the sea.

Miranda Thain, Creative Producer at Theatre Hullabaloo, said “Spirits of the Sea is a magical adventure story that will whisk the whole family away to another world.

“We have created a set like no other. You can hear the seagulls and smell the seaweed as you are transported by live music and wonderful storytelling.

“The set is our most impressive and immersive to date, making this an unforgettable experience for children and their grown-ups too.”

Performances will take place at 11am and 1.30pm on Saturday, February 18 and at 11am on Sunday, February 19.

Tickets are £4.50 or £15 for a family of five. To book, visit hartlepooltownhalltheatre.com or call 01429 890000.
