THE Brian Rawson Band is the latest act to be added to the confirmed line-up for this summer’s Durham Blues Festival.

A contemporary blues quartet based in Glasgow, the band is led by veteran guitarist, Belfast-born Brain Rawson, whose CV includes performing with Dexy’s Midnight Runners.

He is joined by vocalist Tamira Herrebrugh, who has relocated to Glasgow from her native Amsterdam to join the band.

Bass player Jim Carr and drummer Calum Wilson, familiar faces in the Scottish blues scene, complete the line-up.

They will be playing on the Main Street Stage at the seventh festival, at Durham’s Gala Theatre, on Saturday June 17, joining other confirmed acts including Dr Feelgood, Ryan McGarvey, Debbie Bond, Albany Down and AJK James among the 12 acts to appear on the two festival stages, between 2pm and 10pm.

Early bird £26 tickets remain available, with details via www.durhambluesfestival.co.uk, or by calling 01472 349222.
