A TEESDALE woman has swapped the classroom for business after being made redundant.
Lisa Johnstone, of Gainford, was devastated when she was made redundant from her position in charge of E-learning and communications at Staindrop School in August, after 11 years.
However, Ms Johnstone was not deterred and formulated her ideas to create lj digital media; a company offering business to business services, web design, social media marketing, adult IT tuition particularly for the elderly and cloud based services for small businesses and individuals.
The mum-of-two, who started by creating a website for her local fish and chip shop said: “I’m working flat out but I’m really excited and really happy.”
