LIFEBOAT crews from Redcar called in to evacuate people from flood-hit homes in Hull have rescued a woman in urgent need of dialysis.
The woman was evacuated from a flat in the city.
Dave Cocks, one of the Redcar RNLI volunteers, said: "She was very glad to see us. She was in desperate need of dialysis and very shaken. We got her out of the flat as quickly as we could and into an ambulance so she could be taken to hospital."
The lifeboat crew also rescued an elderly couple, thought to be in their 80s, from their flooded home.
