A SPECTACULAR outdoor Proms concert is to be staged in the heart of York next year.
The city’s Museum Gardens will host the ambitious event on July 9 and it will involve an open air picnic concert celebrating the “most popular classical music ever written” with a proms finale, champagne, strawberries and more.
Husband and wife team Jonathan Fewtrell and Rebecca Newman are behind the event, which will raise cash for the York Museums Trust, which runs a number of the city’s attractions.
