A REMEMBRANCE service is to be held in a County Durham town for anyone affected by the tragedy of losing a baby.
The local NHS trust is inviting anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby at or around the time of birth to attend the event in Bishop Auckland on Monday.
Kevin Tromans, lead chaplain at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, said: “This annual service of remembrance and thanksgiving is for anyone who has been affected by this very sad experience.”
Anyone can attend the service including wider families and regardless of whether the loss was recent or in the more distant past.
The service will take place at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church, on Cockton Hill Road, at 7pm.
It will last approximately an hour.
Anyone who wishes to attend is also welcome to gather for tea and coffee following the service.
For further information on the service call the chaplains at Bishop Auckland Hospital on 01388 545541.
