MONCUR Allan John aged 86 years of Aske Avenue, Richmond, sadly passed away in Quinton Care Home, Warwickshire on November 16, after battling dementia for many years. His smile will be very much missed by his three daughters Dianne, Susan and Gillian, his five grandchildren Charlotte, Matthew, Emma, Meredith and Izzy and three sons-in-law David, Andy and Royston. Beloved husband of recently deceased Mary and brother to the late Jean Rowe. Born in Scarborough in 1930 to John and Maud Moncur. He served his National Service with the RAF before joining North Riding Constabulary in the late 1950’s and patrolled the streets of North Yorkshire for 30 years. During retirement, he was a keen golfer, writer of poetry, short stories and pantomimes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He and Mary were very active in The Richmond Operatic Society. He was best known for his creativity with props, scripts and comedy roles. Funeral Service at Woodlands Crematorium, Scarborough, Y012 6QN on Monday, December 19 at 11.20a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. No flowers please.
