A NORTH-EAST football club was facing a winding up order in the High Court in London for the second time in a matter of months.

Hartlepool United Football Club Limited was facing a petition for a winding up order by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs after the matter was listed in London’s High Court on Monday, November 28.

A club spokesman said: "The matter has been resolved and it is not an issue.”

In June, the club faced a similar hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice.

The petition was quickly dismissed by the judge after the court heard that club had already paid the money owed which it blamed on an accounting software error.
