A DRIVER was taken to hospital with chest pains after colliding with a parked vehicle in the early hours of the morning and flipping his own car.
The bang caused by the crash was so loud that neighbours were awoken and left their homes on Clifton Road, Darlington at about 12.45am on Sunday.
The man, 38, driving a silver Citroen Picasso was taken to Darlington Memorial with chest pains, but was not thought to be seriously hurt and suffered suspected whiplash.
No-one else was in the car but both the Citroen and the parked car, a pink Suzaki Alto, were damaged and had be taken by recovery vehicles to a garage.
