POLICE caught up with a wanted man after he was found in the boot of a car.
North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group (RPG) found the man after stopping the car in Malton.
Initially, it seemed there was just one person inside, sat in the drivers’ seat.
But on closer inspection of the car, officers found a second man in the boot of the car.
He was wanted on a warrant by York Crown Court for alleged driving offences.
A North Yorkshire Police officer tweeted: “A good spot by one of the team at incoming logs means local unit have a wanted male in custody.
“I guess he knew he was wanted because I'm sure it's not normal to travel in the boot of a car #Youcanrunbutyoucanthide.”
The man will appear at York Crown Court on Monday morning.
