Reports of an accident on the eastbound carriageway of the A66 between Darlington and Stockton
AN accident on the eastbound carriageway of the A66 between Sandy Leas Lane and A135 Yarm Road caused delays for motorists on Monday morning.
The accident, involving a white Audi A1, was close to the Eaglescliffe turn-off.
Traffic was backed up towards the Sadberge turn-off.
A broken down articulated lorry was also causing an obstruction on a roundabout on the A66 in the Darlington area.
All incidents have now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
