POLICE have issued an e-fit of a man they want to speak to following a burglary in Middlesbrough two months ago.

A 50-year-old woman alone in a house on Aston Avenue, was forced to hand over a "substantial" amount of cash during the burglary at about 3.45pm on Friday, August 5.

She was not injured but has been left very shaken by the incident.

The suspect is described as male, with a tanned complexion, aged in his late thirties to early forties, of stocky build, around 5ft 7ins tall with short, frizzy black hair and long sideburns. He was wearing a long-sleeved navy blue top and navy blue coloured trousers, and spoke with a local accent.

Officers would like to speak to the man in the E-fit as it is believed that he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the male is asked to contact Detective Constable Keith Longstaff from Middlesbrough Volume Crime Team on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymosuly on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
