POLICE are trying to trace a taxi driver who may have dropped off a 66-year-old man who was found with facial injuries.
The injured man was discovered at the junctions of Normanby Road and Trunk Road, in Middlesbrough, at around 6.10am on Friday, September 23 after being picked up on Redcar sea front.
The man is being treated at Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital.
A man and woman from the South Bank area have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and theft and a 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft. Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.
