SEDGEFIELD Cricket Club is holding its second annual beer festival this weekend.
Running from tomorrow (September 23) until Sunday, the festival promises to be “bigger and better” than its inaugural event last year and will take place at the Station Road ground, offering 16 real ales to choose from.
The club also has an outside bar, marquee, free bouncy castle, live Sky and BT Sports in the Clubhouse while Sedgefield RUFC versus Darlington will be shown on Saturday afternoon.
A small wine bar will be provided by Yalumba Wines while Robinsons of Wingate will be serving hot food throughout the weekend.
Admission to the festival is free and beers are priced at £2.50 per pint.
Tipples will feature from local breweries including Darlington’s Village Brewer, Spennymoor’s George Samuel Brewing Company and Ferryhill’s The Yard of Ale.
Profits raised from the festival will go towards the maintenance and running of the not-for-profit, volunteer-led club.
