THERE is still time to buy tickets for a popular annual event which raises vital funds for Butterwick Hospice.

The 13th North East Oyster Festival will be held at Hardwick Hall on Friday, September 30, offering a day of fine food and entertainment.

The event is organised by Ramside Estates and each year benefits a different local charity.

Headlining this year’s event is 1980s icon Paul Young, best known for his string of hits including Wherever I Lay My Hat, Love of the Common People and Every Time You Go Away.

He will be joined by impressionist Bobby Davro and further music will be provided by soul singer Diane Shaw and Irish folk musicians JJ Galway Band, while North-East comedian Steve Walls will be compere at the event.

As well as Oyster stalls, guests enjoy a three-course fruits de mer menu as well as complimentary beer, lager and wine all for £140 per person.
