WITH his vision of a perfect world, a Darlington man has made the shortlist for a ‘beyond reality’ TV show.

Jordan Lozman is one of fifty people battling nationwide for the final ten places on The Perfect World Project.

Described as a “beyond reality challenge-based entertainment show”, the programme will see ten people transported to a luxurious villa on a sun-drenched island to compete for a life-changing prize.

According to its website, the concept comes from millionaire businessman Russ Priestley who is offering “to allow one person to experience everything they have ever wanted as a social experiment”.

The ultimate winner will receive an all access ‘black card’, loaded with a six-figure sum and attached to a prestigious concierge service.

After attending a face to face interview with the production team, Mr Lozman, 25, is now appealing for votes that could take him through to the fifth round of the qualifying process.

A former soldier, Mr Lozman now works as a site supervisor and hopes to use time on the show to change perceptions of people from the North-East.

He said: “To get to this stage, I had to tell them what my perfect world is and for me, it’s driving a convertible white Ferrari along Miami beach and flying back on a private jet.

“Nobody knows yet what the programme is actually about or what the challenges will be – I just hope I don’t have to eat any spiders.

“It would be amazing to win, I’m just a normal lad, I wasn’t brought up with loads of money, I went to a normal school, went in the military and worked.

“When people think of the North-East, they think of Geordie Shore and Benefits Street but I want to show there’s more to people here, it’d be nice to present a different image of the region.

“A lot of us here are struggling to get by and it’d be nice to see someone pulled out of reality for a bit and given the chance to live in the perfect world.”

Foodbank volunteer Mr Lozman said viewers would get to see his sensitive and caring side, as well as a confident character who once woke up from a holiday hangover with a tattoo of his best friend’s name.

He said anyone expecting him to cheat on his long-term girlfriend on the show would be left disappointed, adding: “She’s my rock and I’m doing this for her too as she makes me happy every day.”
