A BOWLS club has boosted the fundraising efforts of a group trying to raise £21,000 for an adapted school minibus.

More than 40 players enjoyed a bowling day at Westend Bowling Club in Hartburn to help raise funds raising their chosen charity for 2016, the Friends of Whitehouse Farm Primary School.

The school, in Stockton, caters for pupils who have physical difficulties with movement so the need to have a school minibus is vital.

The bowls club raised an impressive £2,446 towards the minibus fund.
