LIFEBOAT crew members pulled a person from waters at the Newburn Bridge area of the Hartlepool in the early hours of Monday morning.
Humber Coastguard alerted Hartlepool RNLI to the incident at 1.57am after reports a person had entered the water at the Newburn Bridge area of the town.
Volunteer crew members made it to the scene and took the casualty aboard the Hartlepool RNLI inshore lifeboat at 2.12am and back to the Ferry Road lifeboat station to paramedics.
The condition of the person is not yet known.
