RNLI volunteers were called out to rescue two teenagers who got trapped on rocks by the incoming tide on Redcar beach on Tuesday.
Several members of the public dialled 999 after they saw the two having difficulties returning to the shore.
The RNLI crew from Redcar was tasked at noon and the inshore lifeboat launched soon after.
The teenagers, both 19-years-old and from the Middlesbrough area, were taken aboard the lifeboat and landed at the lifeboat station.
They were unharmed and left after being given sea safety advice.
