A WOMAN has suffered multiple injuries after being knocked over by a motorbike in a suspected hit and run incident.
The 36-year-old pedestrian was injured at about 2.40pm on Durham Road, Stockton, today (Monday, July 18).
The motorbike was carrying two males, a rider and pillion passenger, when it failed to stop at the scene.
One of the males was wearing a helmet and the other was not. The bike possibly had an 05 registration plate.
The road is currently closed between Darlington Road and Hardwick Road.
The woman is believed to have leg injuries, facial injuries and possible internal injuries and was taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital for treatment.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked PC Anthony Cairns from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 128522.
