CHILDREN from a Teesside primary school entertained friends and family with a display of Brazilian dance.
Pupils from Billingham South Community Primary School took part in a Rio 2016 Olympic-inspired dance display ahead of the town's International Folklore Festival next month.
The school's 475 pupils took part in a dance workshop with the festival's projects manager Jessica Smith, as part of a project on different South American cultures and heritage.
They were taught basic Brazilian dance moves, concentrating on the Samba and Capoeira dances, which are performed during the country's carnivals.
They put together a specially-choreographed dance, which was performed during the school's Olympic Sports Day on Friday.
The 52nd Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance takes place in the town from August 13 to 20, with performers from Chile, Egypt, Martinique, Mexico, North Cyprus, Russia and South Korea.
