MINIONS will mix with Peppa Pig at a family event taking place next week.
Darlington’s North Park will be overtaken with colourful characters, fun and games on Saturday, July 16.
The Elim Pentecostal Church is hosting its annual community fun day event at the park between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
Children are invited to meet their cinematic heroes while their families can enjoy a series of events taking place throughout the day.
A sports tournament will pit competitors against each other in football matches, hula hooping and bean-bag races.
Aspiring Sumo wrestlers can don suits and take part in games while visitors can also try their hand at archery and boxercise.
Local dance schools, Zumba classes and musicians will entertain crowds while motoring enthusiasts are invited to enjoy a display of classic cars and motorbikes.
A spokeswoman for the church said: “The aim of our events is to meet our local community, have fun together, get to know each other and raise awareness of the services we can provide.”
