A WOODLAND popular with cyclists and walkers was transformed into an outdoor music venue at the weekend.
Hamsterley Forest Festival was the first major music event to take place in the picturesque woodland near Bishop Auckland.
The event, on Saturday, June 25, attracted music lovers of all ages who did not let the occasional heavy downpour dampen their spirits.
Among the acts to take to the stage were The White Negroes, Toxic, Fire Lady Luck and The Norgards.
