A MOTORCYCLIST was killed after he collided with a car in North Yorkshire.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the collision occurred on the A682 between Gisburn and Nappa, near Skipton.
"A 44-year-old man from the Manchester area died after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car at 7pm on Tuesday 21 June, 2016," said a spokesman for North Yorkshire Police.
"He was the second of two motorcyclists travelling towards Long Preston when the collision occurred near to Hayber Farm.
"Officers are not yet in a position to name the deceased rider and investigations remain ongoing.
"Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the motorcyclists prior to the collision, the collision itself, or who came upon the scene shortly afterwards to get in touch."
