A FESTIVAL in Ryedale was a food lover's dream as a wide range of culinary experts, chefs and suppliers returned to entertain the crowds.

The Malton Food Lovers Festival, on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, attracted more visitors than ever who enjoyed demonstrations in the Inntravel Cookery Theatre and flocked around the various stallholders.

The town welcomed headline act, renowned TV chef Rosemary Shrager, who was joined by a whole host of culinary stars, including food journalist Rose Prince, Michelin star chef James Mackenzie, the face of the Naturalista blog Xochi Balfour and Yorkshire Food Finder Sue Nelson.

Rosemary Shrager, Jonathan Bachelor and Nigel Brown showed off their culinary flare and skill to the packed audience in the food theatre, and visitors also enjoyed cooking lessons in the renowned Malton Cookery School.

Ms Shrager said: “Fantastic Weekend! Another fantastic festival, being in Yorkshire is such a treat. Can’t wait to be asked back.”
