THE team at a Yorkshire Dales restaurant and hotel is hanging up their aprons and putting away the bed linen to try their shot at modelling - for a naked charity calendar.

The Wensleydale Heifer, in West Witton, near Leyburn, will donate all of the funds from its naked calendar to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Help for Heroes and several other local charities.

The calendar is going to be full of comical pictures, with a few strategically placed pans, pillows and parsnips to protect the staff’s modesty.

All of the team is getting involved from the head chef, housekeepers and even owners, David and Lewis Moss.

David Moss said: “We wanted to do something that was a quirky way of raising money for charity. We are all about having fun at the Heifer, and our naked calendar is something that not many other hotels and restaurants would have the courage to do.

“The staff are all really getting behind the naked calendar, there’s been some hair raising moments trying to get best shot, as we all want to raise as much money as we can for our chosen charities.

“We can’t wait for our buns and baps to be up on our customers walls for a whole year, it’ll definitely get the neighbours talking. Our guests have already expressed their excitement, but they will all have to wait for the grand reveal.”

The Wensleydale Heifer’s 2017 Naked Calendar will be going on sale this July and will be available to purchase from reception, with all funds going towards the chosen charities.
