POLICE have confirmed a fire which severely damaged shop selling mobility scooters is being treated as suspected arson.
Fire crews were called to Tonik Mobility in Medomsley Road, Consett, on the evening of Thursday May 12, and the streets around it were cordoned off.
Neighbouring premises were also affected by the smoke from the blaze.
Fire investigators believe the fire could have been started maliciously, but no-one has been arrested.
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
