A NEW one-woman drama is set to come to Bishop Auckland Town Hall.

The Dust of The Street's Shining is written by Bishop Auckland playwright Alison Carr and focuses on Una, a woman who finds herself stranded in an unfamiliar street having had a panic attack on a bus.

She is a castaway in an urban limbo-land, where her memories and imaginings that reveal her hidden emotions.

Dust of The Street’s Shining is Ms Carr’s fourth play produced by Little Cog, an arts organisation specialising in the production of professional Disability Art.

The play stars actress Jacqueline Phillips, seen recently in the critically-acclaimed one woman drama, Butterfly, by Vici Wreford-Sinnott at Stockton ARC and who has appeared in Emmerdale and TV crime dramas George Gently and Vera.

It has been developed in association with ARC Stockton, Cultural Shift and Little Cog.

Tickets cost £8 or £6 for concessions and can be booked by contacting the Town Hall Box Office on 03000-269524 or in person at the venue.

The play will be performed on May 23, at 7.30pm.
