BOOK and film fans are in for a treat when the Crossing The Tees Festival returns next month.

Teesside's largest book festival will include talks and discussions with authors, poets and writers, a range of creative workshops and sessions for schools, plus plenty of opportunities to chat to writers from the region and beyond.

Frances Brody, Jenny Colgan and Stuart Cosgrove are just a few of the celebrated authors who will be giving talks on their books and share their writing experiences.

There will also be a string of writing workshops where writers will be sharing tips and ideas on how you can take your first steps in publishing.

History Wardrobe returns with two sessions, one which looks at the history of the ‘white wedding’ and a special Titanic themed session, which will explore historic documents, jewellery and fashion pieces that were found on the famous wreck.

For the second year in a row, Stockton's Arc will host the Crossing the Tees Film Festival, as part of the literary celebrations.

Films including Martin Scorsese’s award-winning mob drama Goodfellas and the 1946 film adaptation of Great Expectations, will be screened.
