TRAFFIC police turned rhyme fighters after stopping a car to check the driver's credentials.
Writing on Facebook, Cleveland and Durham Road Policing Unit detailed the stop on Monday in verse.
"Rub a dub dub dub, one man in a V'dub," they wrote.
"Went cruising around in the neighbourhood,
"He got caught, in a car he'd just bought,
"Now he's walking home with no need for a HORT!
"Take our assurance, it took some endurance, we eventually found that he had no insurance!
"So you'll be pleased, now that it's been seized,
"1 nil to the interceptors, that he tried to deceive!"
