TRAVELLERS are being advised not to travel by train to or from Whitby today due to emergency engineering work.
There is currently no train service between Sleights and Whitby and operator Northern is unable to provide replacement transport due to the rolling road closures in place for the Tour de Yorkshire.
The following services will not operate between Sleights and Whitby:
• 13.03 Whitby – Darlington
• 13.55 Middlesbrough – Whitby
• 15.46 Whitby – Bishop Auckland
Network Rail engineers are on-site and rail replacement transport is planned for the following services:
• 15.49 Darlington – Whitby
• 18.05 Whitby – Newcastle
