Darlington's Stuart hall overcame tough opposition from Mexican Rodrigo Guerrero on Saturday night and now has a chance to win back his IBF world bantamweight title.
The Darlington man defeated Guerrero after a tough 12-round eliminator in Leeds.
Now he hopes the win - which makes him the number one challenger - will set up a long-awaited rematch with Lee Haskins, who currently owns Hall's old belt after beating him four years ago.
Despite suffering a cut, following a clash of heads early on, Guerrero fought bravely, but couldn't deal with Hall's more accomplished ring craft.
Ultimately, the judges scored the bout 117-111, 117-111 and 117-111 in Hall's favour.
