THREE North-East MPs will take part in a debate on renewing the Trident nuclear defence system next week (Friday, February 26).
Christians on the Left will present a discussion titled Just War in the 21st Century at Durham University's St Chad's College, 18 North Bailey, Durham City, on Friday, February 26, at 7pm.
The panel will include Bishop Auckland MP Helen Goodman, North Durham MP Kevan Jones, Durham University Professor Robert Song and Sunderland University chaplain Rev Chris Howson. Durham City MP Roberta Blackman-Woods will chair.
The debate will consider the Christian theory of just war, renewing Trident nuclear defence and British military interventions overseas.
All are welcome and entry is free.
